Harwich Low Lighthouse

The Harwich Low Lighthouse was built in 1817-1818. The low lighthouse together with the High Lighthouse a few hundred yards away were used as a pair of guiding lights for Harwich harbour. Both lights were discontinued in 1863 when sandbanks shifted and they became known as "misleading lights"
